Cartier Santos Carrée "Slate Gray" Fullset ref.2961 from 1986

In 1978, Cartier redesigned and renamed the Santos de Cartier, giving the watch an integrated bracelet instead of the traditional leather strap. Cartier made the case and bracelet out of stainless steel, a true departure for the Maison which had only worked with precious metals before this time. The limited edition brushed gray dial gives the watch a very particular aesthetic, the satin-finished gold on the bezel is truly the most important detail as it gives a very masculine impression to the whole watch. This is the true "two-tone" without any color or finish other than yellow gold and steel.
