Rolex Cellini Hobnail ref.4127 Wood Dial from 1970s

Rolex Cellini is an underrated dress watch collection, and there have been a myriad of beautiful dress watch designs produced under this collection. This example captures the extravagance of the 1970s in an 18k-yellow-gold case; the geometric style of this case was also used in other case designs produced in the same period, such as the OysterQuartz and Midas models. The pyramid motif around the bezel is also an interesting design feature that appeared on some Day-Date bezels, dials, and bracelet designs as well. What makes this piece special is the burlwood dial, which goes exceptionally well with the rest of the gold theme.
