Early 20th c. Steel and Wood Factory Rolling Cart c.1940

ABOUT This is an original factory steel rolling cart with thick rubber wheels. Wood accents were added later. The cart rolls very easily. This piece has retained its original finish and paint with minor structural damage. CREATOR Unknown. DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1940s MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Steel, Rubber, Wood. CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. DIMENSIONS H 29 in. W 36 in. D 18 in. HISTORY This piece was salvaged from a hardware store in the Mission District of San Francisco. There was a machinists shop in the back. The shop operated from 1920-2018.
