Lepus Part IILepus is one of the ancient 48 constellations and is often depicted as a hare being hunted by Orion’s dogs. In more modern mythology - the Germanic goddess of fertility and spring, Ostara, turns a dying swallow into a hare named Lepus, who survives and retains her ability to lay eggs once a year. In return, Lepus lays colorful eggs each spring to celebrate the spring equinox and Ostara. One origin story of the Easter bunny! A little Celtic folklore to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. Hand sawn brass moon and running silver hare. Brass rivets as stars to highlight the Lepus constellation.  Chain is adjustable from 16”-18”.
