Wonderful woodblock print 東風俗 福つくし 子福者 "Azuma Fuzoku Fukutsukushi - Kofukusha" (A Collection of Happiness, Customs in the East: "Having Many Children") is by Chikanobu Hashimoto/Yōshū (1838-1912). 子福者(Kofukusha) means a person (blessed) with many children. The title and subtitle in the upper right of the image. The publisher's name is "武川卯之吉”(Takekawa Unokichi), his address, date "Meiji 23 nen" (1890), and the artist's name "Chikanobu hitsu" on the lower right of the image. This print illustrates a happy large family. Very heartwarming subject.  Technique: Woodblock Paper size: 10 inches by 14 and 3/4 inches (25 x 37.5 cm) Image size: 9 and 1/8 and 1/8 inches by 13 and 1/8 inches (23 x 33.5 cm)Condition: Very good condition. Small repair in the image and a tiny tear on the bottom margin. They are very minor and hardly noticeable.
