This charming Bijin-ga woodblock print is by Hiroshige Ando. Wonderful details and beautifully embossed. The Japanese title is "Edo Murasaki Meisho Genji, Mitate Ukifune, Sumidagawa no Watashi"  English translation is "Parody of the 'Ukifune"(Floating boat) chapter: Ferry on the Sumida River - From the series "Famous Places in Edo and Murasaki (Tale of Genji)". This print is a later printing in the Taisho era. The publisher is Koazuma Nishikie Hozonkai. Hiroshige Ando (1797 - 1858) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, considered the last great master of that tradition. Hiroshige is best known for his landscapes, such as the series "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido",  "The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kiso Kaido" and "One Hundred Famous View of Edo".  Technique: Woodblock Date: c.1920 (Originally 1840's, This is a later printing in the Taisho era)Paper size (print size) : 8 and 1/2 x 11 and 5/8 inches (21.5 x 29.5 cm) Condition: Very good condition with minor toning.      *** ABOUT SHI
