The striking black and white woodblock print "Fudō Myōō, No.21" (Acala) is by Kihei Sasajima (1906-1993). Printed on thin washi paper. Very large size. Limited edition size of only 50 sheets. Unique texture with heavy embossing by the Takuzuri technique. This technique involves spraying a mist onto paper to give it moisture and transferring the designs of the protruding sections by pressing against them forcefully. His Takuzuri prints are really powerful with his own technique of relief printing. *According to popular belief, Fudō Myōō is an incarnation of a supreme being in Buddhism which was sent to this world to bring salvation to the masses.
