The breathtaking woodblock print "Fuji Jū-Nikei no uchi, Shimosa Konodai" (Konodai in Shimosa Province) From Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji) is by Hiroshige Ando (1797-1858). The print captures a magnificent view from the famous spot of Konodai, renowned for the Fuji of Shimosa and the autumn leaves. The title "Shimosa Konodai", "Hiroshige" red seal, and embossed seal in the lower left corner of the image. When Hiroshige was in his late 50s, he drew this series (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji). They were originally sketchbooks/picture albums of hand-painting. They are very delicate, and the subtle colors are beautiful. This woodblock print is a High-quality Fukkoku Mokuhan (reproduction woodblock print) by Yoshio Kawazura (1880-1963). Printed in Taisho 14 (1925). This is rarely on the market.
