The breathtaking woodblock print "Kai Otsuki no Hara” (Otsuki Plain in Kai Province) is by Hiroshige Utagawa (1797-1858). It is from the series Fuji Sanjū-Rokkei (Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji). This work contrasts Mt. Fuji rising above the Misaka mountain range with the Otsuki Plain that spreads out before it, depicting a field of Japanese pampas grass with wild chrysanthemums, bellflowers, and other beautifully colored flowers, creating a style that even exudes a sense of gaiety. It is one of the representative works of this series, with its predominant use of bright colors. Published by Adachi Publisher. The artist's name is on the lower-left corner of the image with two seals indicating the original publisher seal and the original dated seal. This is a re-carved edition, a high-quality print by a famous publisher.
