This print depicts 'Kyokusui no Utage' event in the garden of Jonangu Shrine. Rakusuien, the garden of Jonangu Shrine, is also known as the 'flower garden of The Tale of Genji.' The 'Kyokusui no utage' event, where a cup is poured into a stream, poems are written, and sake is enjoyed, is held twice every year in the spring and fall. This elegant event has become a distinctive feature of the ancient capital.
