The stunning woodblock print 'Kakitsubata-zu Byobu' (Irises Screen) is by Korin Ogata (1658–1716), a renowned Japanese Nihon-ga painter of the Rinpa school. Originally painted during the Edo period (17th century) as folding screens, they have been national treasures and true masterpieces. The image of this famous Japanese painting is familiar to many, and this particular print was published by Tansei-sha in 1983. The publisher's seal, the printer's name 'Mitsuo Hashizume,' and the carver's name 'Sadao Uetani' are located in the left margin. It comes with an original explanation paper.
