This graceful and elegant stemless cup with fine good black gloss was used for drinking wine. The wide shallow body sits on a low foot with convex bottom and externally incorporates a narrow concave rim-band. Inside the bowl, the wide flat rim-band is offset. The round-sectioned II-shaped handles, that tilt and upswung are attached to the body just below the rim-band. Medium: Ceramic Dimensions: Height: Width: 8 3/4 inches (22.4 cm) Condition: The surface oxidized with a fine metallic sheen, occasional accretions, minor chips to foot that do not detract, overall intact and in very good condition. Provenance: David F. Hoff, TX (1948 - 2021) private collection, acquired between 1993 - 1997 and then by descent.
