"History of the World" by Duyckinck - 1871     STEEL ENGRAVING PRINT This 143 year old steel engraving was rescued from  "THE HISTORY of the WORLD"  by Evert A. Duyckinck, published by Johnson, Fry & Co. in 1871, in New York. The engraver was Alonzo Chappel. The engraving is in very good condition, with usual minor age toning .  The image is about 8 " x 5 1/2 " on a page that is about 10 1/2 " x 7 ". The  print is suitable for framing and would make an excellent gift.
