Next Move

When I visit Manhattan, I spend a lot of time walking and prowling for an interesting subject to feature in my artwork. New York City never disappoints. I came across this moment during a late summer evening in midtown. The rich jewel tones, graphical elements, and story behind this anonymous woman immediately drew my interest. We can imagine infinite possibilities about what she will do next, and I liked the expansive nature of this potential. This is the final addition to my "What's Your 20?" series celebrating my 20th anniversary working as a professional artist. I felt that the story here offers a fitting coda... My first twenty years of painting are in the books, what will the next twenty bring?
