Notes from the Winery/ImporterThe Specogna “Pro Fondo” Surlie Glera is a distinctive sparkling wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a renowned region in northeastern Italy. Made entirely from Glera—the same grape used in Prosecco—it showcases a singular interpretation of the area’s terroir and artisanal winemaking heritage. This wine is produced using the traditional sur lie method, known locally as Colfondo. In this style, a second fermentation takes place in the bottle, and the lees (spent yeast) are left undisturbed.
