And I always recommend using Heat N Bond Lite on the backs of all applique fabrics. It helps the fabric not ravel and look nice and crisp when ironed. When doing a bean stitch applique, you have to trim your fabrics a good 1/4" away from the edge of the stitching so that it doesn't pull away from
