Tryntje Slipper Pattern
Tryntje SlippersDetails SymbolismI designed these heart and flower slippers to celebrate a trip to the Netherlands. In a quaint country village, there was a cozy bench placed between the face of a step-gabled brick house and the sidewalk. The side of the bench had a cutout heart and flowers. It looked like such a charming place to chat with a neighbor, have a cup of hot tea or cocoa and watch kids and their parents bike to school. In Norwegian symbolism, the flower stands for hope. The heart represents courage, kindness, gentleness, love, and understanding. I like to think the tiny flowers on the sides are a shower of hope. And the squares represent the four-corners of the earth, surrounded by faith and hope. I’m crazy about this Kors og Kringle pattern (I like to think of it as an XO pattern). The cross also stands for humility. This is another of my Valentine love notes to the world. MaterialsWomen’s sizeRaumagarn 3 tr. Strikkegarn \ 50 g (1.75 oz) 105 meters/114 yardsMain Color: Off
