Herrgardsost ® has a mild, sweet, nutty, tangy flavor similar to Gruyere or Cheddar cheese but with a distinctly softer texture. It is a good table cheese ideally suited for snacking, melting and crumbling. Serve as a starter with crusty bread or crackers. Melt it on sandwiches or shave it into a salad.
