This region, between 1949-1960, served as a stronghold for partisans and freedom fighters, known as "outlaws," who resisted the communist regime. Pursued relentlessly by militia troops for over a decade, these brave fighters never lost their faith in God. During the harsh winters in the mountains, especially the brutal winter of 1954, they endured famine, surviving by mixing the last of their corn with crushed tree bark. These partisans embodied the anti-communist resistance, fighting until the end. Many were killed in clashes with security forces, while their families faced persecution and imprisonment for refusing to betray them. This fragrance, .U.M.B.R.E., is named in honor of their undying hope and spirit. Each bottle and packaging is handmade in Romania, with every imperfecti
