Matusalem Rum Gran Reserva 15 year Cuban rum

Shines with a golden copper body with fairly sticky legs on the glass. Vanilla, sweet brown sugar, oak, chocolate, and light spice on the nose. The flavor is more of the same with that vanilla sweetness really smoothing things out. The oak and spice come along nicely in the finish with a bit of balanced heat as it goes. I wouldn’t call this a complex rum but it’s quite an enjoyable sipper.
