MULTIPLYING CALORIES

This card was created by Sasha Williams of Washington, DC. “I try to eat healthy, but…” she says pausing to laugh out loud a bit. “You know, there are certain things that just taste so good. It’s like my brain knows they’re bad for me, but my stomach knows they’re delicious.” Being homeless and a single mother makes eating healthy virtually impossible. “Cheap, processed food doesn’t need to be refrigerated and keeps for a long time,” she points out. After several stints of homelessness, Sasha and her two daughters are doing well and currently have housing in Northeast DC. Sasha receives 15% of the sales from this card.
