Barrel #127 Proof: 110.2 Proof Age: 8-years Source: MGPi Mash Bill: 51/15/34 Corn/Rye/Malted Barley Bottle Count: 108 bottles Tasting Notes:  Nose:  This one definitely leads the way on the nose, deep with creamy nougaty maltiness and dried fruits. Dark honey, apricot, cranberry-orange scone, and ending with toasted oak. There's a lot to sit within this nose. Palate:  The palate continues with familiar nose notes, but adds in toasted grains, spiced red apple skins, floral-kissed stone fruit, and over-baked cinnamon-banana bread. Finish:  The finish is well-spiced, but not overly spicy. It’s got a lot of depth, ultimately leaving you with a heavy, toasty finish. Story: In January 2022, the Bourbon Community Roundtable (Breaking Bourbon, Bourbon Pursuit and myself) "BCR" made out way out to Colorado to visit Old Elk.
