Stainless steel, hypoallergenic post and gold-plated jump rings. Named after Sylvia Rivera, a Venezuelan-Puerto Rican trans woman who pioneered LGBTQ+ activism. Alongside Marsha P. Johnson, she created the STAR (Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries) organization, which provided a home for homeless trans people in New York in the 1970s. Sylvia’s Place and the Sylvia Rivera Law Project continue to honor her legacy by working towards LGBTQ+ rights.
