AI & Policy Governance

Course Description The purpose of this course is to familiarize you with some of the core concepts, actors, issues, and governance strategies that have emerged to help realize AI’s benefits and minimize potential harm. We will review current regulatory tends at the international, national, and subnational levels, discuss key debates and challenges, and help you understand how to stay continually informed and engaged. As the course will cover public policy, governance strategies proposed by corporations, and considerations from civil society, this micro-credential should position you to stay on top of trends and advance your work regardless of which sector you are most focused on. This is an asynchronous, self-paced course with no live instructor. The schedule is flexible and allows learners to complete coursework and assignments at their own pace and time.
