The acetal sheave spins on the central axle, providing long lifespan and low maintenance. A stainless steel strap, called Ultra-Strap, securely holds the block together and provides a strong, rope-friendly attachment point. The hole running through the middle of the block can also be used as a tying off point, known as the becket.
