The flower orbs coated in tiny fragrant white flowers bloom all throughout summer attracting a wide variety of pollinators. Prefers full sun and average well-drained soil. Drought and deer resistant. Eryngium yuccifolium is a host for two specialized moths, the seed-eating moth and the rattlesnake master stem-borer, and occasionally plays host for the black swallowtail butterfly. It also attracts parasitic wasps that help take care of garden pests.
