Vitis rotundifolia 'Nesbitt' ~ Nesbitt Muscadine Grape, Black Self Fertile

Nesbitt Muscadine is a small self-fertilizing native deciduous climbing vine with non-exfoliating bark and a month long harvesting season making it better suited to a home garden.  It produces large black grapes with a very sweet spice and thick black skins in September.  The shiny large broad leaves are dark green and bluntly toothed with shades of yellow to red in fall.  Grows best in full sun and moist well-drained soils.  Nesbitt is has good disease resistance.
