The 9 quart Marine Excursion Cooler is part of the cooler revolution that Coleman started back in 1954. Coolers or "picnic chests" were made of thermally inefficient steel that would sweat and rust. Three years later a Coleman engineer saw a child blowing soap bubbles and realized a similar process could be used to make coolers. By forming a "bubble" from heated sheet plastic and molding it into the necessary shape, coolers could be lighter, more efficient, and easier to clean. This groundbreaking process revolutionized the industry and is basically the same process still used today. This 9 quart Marine Excursion cooler features an insulated case for all day ice retention. The large grip bail handle makes it comfortable to carry, and their is a hinged lid for easier opening. This cooler will hold up to 9 cans easily.
