Doshi Puff Studs with Trillions
The Doshi Capsule honors Balkrishna Doshi, a revolutionary in post-colonial India who collaborated with Le Corbusier and Louis Kahn to infuse Indian culture and climate-responsive design into a poetic Indo-Western style. India’s first Pritzker Prize laureate, Doshi masterfully fused old and new, hallmarked by modernist architecture with traditional Indian elements like water, courtyards, terracing and the use of local materials. The Doshi Puff Stud's graceful curves mirror the undulating lines of Sangath, Doshi’s own architectural studio in Ahmedabad. The reflective oval studs evokes the studio's signature domed roofs and fluid design. Bezel-set Trillions are terraced at the top of each dome, celebrating his modernist ethos.
