Coralie et Damien Delecheneau, Sauvignon Blanc "Trinqu'âmes" Loire Valley, France 2023

100% Sauvignon Blanc from 40-year old vines on clay and limestone soil. The Delecheneau Trinqu'âmes is a succulent, easy-drinking and well-priced Sauvignon Blanc that shows characteristics true to the Loire Valley. It it fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete and fiberglass tanks. Elevage on fine lees for 4-5 months. The domaine is a long-time family affair: it was created at the end of the 19th century by Alfonse Delecheneau as a traditional polyculture with crop and livestock. Damien, the 5th generation, took over in 2002 at only 22 years old and immediately started the progressive transition towards organic viticulture.
