The Deiss Complantation is a field blend of Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Auxerrois, Muscat Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Muscat à petits grains, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner, Pinot Beurot, Rose d’Alsace, Traminer, and Chasselas Rose. Wow! A gorgeously complex and seductive co-planted field blend from one of the masters of Alsace. The wine shows pure and fresh aromas and flavors of yellow peach, lime, spices, nectarine, and fresh citrus fruits. It is refined and delicate, showing increasing concentration through to the bright, stony, mineral finish. A beautifully complete white wine. The grapes are from multiple parcels in Bergheim, including younger vines from 1er Cru and Grand Cru parcels. The vineyards were planted between 1980-2010, and comprise a mix of terroirs (clay, limestone, granite, alluvial soils, etc..). Made with indigenous yeast, the wine ferments and ages for 12 months in stainless steel.
