Day 23 • The 20th of July

🌄 Day 23/365 I guess I needed a clean slate this morning. Last night I finally gathered enough courage to watch the Anthony Bourdain movie. I started weeping heavily about a third of the way through. I honestly don’t feel like heaping praise on an old white guy at the moment but given how he opened my heart to travel and culture when I was so young, my mourning has been deep and painful. I’m still so mad at him. I couldn’t sleep all night, my eyes were swollen shut this morning. I had nightmares. As someone who suffers from Major Depressive Disorder, I relied on Tony as inspiration to move past it. His death haunts me. The difference being, I woke up this morning and the sun still rises and it is a new day. Let us all be grateful for each and every one.
