Day 231 • The 13th of February, 2023

🌄 Day 231/365 I’ve been in the middle of a minor identity crisis lately, probably extending back to 2020, and possibly even 2016 (when I got extraordinarily sick from my art materials, which apparently I’d developed an allergy to.) (Trust me, the photos are terrifying.) Currently I’m wondering about my place in the art world. I’ve been firmly planted there and confident about it since 2004. I knew what my purpose was. But the world around me has changed a lot since then. With everything that’s going on around us, is pursuing Art the best way I can contribute to society anymore? Should I be focusing on … something else? I don’t have any ideas about that, what else other than art I could do that would mean anything. Nothing I can jump into right away, anyway. I know that art is important and necessary in the world, especially as it changes. Art has been the thread between societies for over 25 thousand years. 25,000! I know that artists can spread messages far and wide through visual cr
