The 2019 Syrah is a big wine. Grown on the Wahluke Slope in Washington State, this high desert area is hot and dry. The terroir develops ripe fruit with a big mouthfeel. Aged in both neutral and new french oak barrels for roughly 9 months at Shepherd's Run, the wine delivers notes of cedar and fig with a velvet mouthfeel. Best enjoyed with a hearty ragu, steak or similar bold flavored dish.
