Community Mending Circle

Join Becky for an evening of mending or other handwork. BRING YOUR OWN PROJECT AND SUPPLIES. We'll offer a nice place to hang out, a little advice if we can give it, and the use of our sewing machines, irons, and sergers. We do have a bit of fabric scrap, if you're looking for visible mending patches, you're welcome to it! Please plan on being mostly self sufficient for this activity. We're adding a small, casual learning capsule to each class, just a 10-20 minute demo by fellow menders. May: Becky will demo how to fix denim that has holes in the thighs or butt, using a sewing machine to darn the fabric with matching threadJune: Ari will demo traditional sock darning, using a darning mushroom (or alternative object), and yarn to mend holes.
