
Channel-setting Faceted Stones - July 13
Have you ever looked at a channel-set stone ring and think: "how the heck do they get those stones into those channels securely and without destroying the metal?" In this one-day class, you will learn how to properly set stones into a channel setting. At the end of class, you will have completed one channel-set ring with CZ's as shown in the second photo. You'll get to choose from a straight channel ring or a Chevron-style channel ring. We will cover: cutting seats for stones securing stones between two opposing walls, make sure tables of all stones are level and even, set stones with proper spacing between stones set stones so that they are all at the same height polishing and finishing techniques Details: 8 contact hours, ages 14+ located at 100 1/2 E.
