Always wanted to work with gold but is the price of gold a deterrent? In this half-day jewelry class, you will learn the ancient Korean technique of Keum-Boo; which is applying thin sheets of 24k gold to silver using heat. Students will learn how to use fine silver, apply 24k gold foil, and use patina to create black and gold contrast. The instructor will also provide a demo of how to prep sterling silver for Keum-boo. At the end of class, students will have completed a pair of dangle earrings and a pendant.
