Subjects and Predicates This Subjects and Predicates Teach-Its® unit includes a rigorous, fun, and engaging lesson to help you teach this difficult skill to your students. This unit includes: ☞ a Scripted Standards-Based Lesson Plan that includes Learning Targets, Materials, Standards, and a scripted lesson plan to help you effectively teach about what Subjects and Predicates are and how Subjects and Predicates are made and used. ☞ a Whole Group Active Engagement Activity to engage and excite your students to help them learn about Subjects and Predicates. Spend a few minutes and watch the Schoolhouse Rock video on Subjects and Predicates. Continue to brainstorm at least 6 - 7 nouns and verbs on your chart. ☞ a Guided Practice Activity where the students will each have a card where you tell the student that they must find the person that completes their sentence either by starting it or ending it. ☞ an Independent Practice Activity
