Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Coffee
This delicious Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee has a distinctly fruit-like and flowery taste with some winey characteristics. The beans are uniform and the quality is outstanding! Ethiopian Yirgacheffee coffee, the most favored coffee grown in southern Ethiopia, may also be labeled as Sidamo, which is the district where it is produced. These coffee beans have been processed using the washed method. The coffee cherries are sorted by immersion in water. The unripe or damaged fruit will float while the good ripe fruit will sink. The skin of the cherry and some of the pulp is removed by pressing the fruit through a screen. Afterwards the beans are dried in the sun. This process produces a higher acidity, cleaner flavor and a fuller bodied brew than coffee using the dry process.
