Kalmia latifolia, commonly known as mountain laurel, is a multi-stemmed evergreen ornamental shrub native to Eastern North America. The beautiful pink & white (typical) flowers cover the plant in late spring. 'Minuet' will grow 2-3 ft tall and 2-3 ft wide in 10 years. Flowers open white with a broad, maroon-red band circling the inside of each flower cup near the rim. Useful as a hedging or foundation plant as they are in mass. Hardy to zone 4.
