Found along a roadside in the 1990's by Arthur Perry, this tree brightens up any garden in spring with its intense butter-yellow new foliage. As the season progresses, the gold color turns to green. Growing to about 4 ft tall and 2 ft wide in 10 years, it makes a fat pyramidal shape. Plant with a blue foliage plant for a stunning spring show. Best in full sun for the color. Thrives in well drained soil with lots of organic amendments. Hardy to -30 deg F, zone 3.
