When you place the back of the acrylic in a dimly lit environment, such as a floor or table, you will see the acrylic on the front side with a mirror effect. When you put the back of the acrylic in a bright environment, such as computer screens, desk lamps, you can see through the acrylic to the back of the scene, which will be seen in the front of the acrylic translucent effect. It
