Naturally Dyed Silk + Intentional Bag Charm Workshop

This workshop was inspired by the "Kwento" collection from Lu France Interiors and So Niice, where they combined their love for artistically dyeing silk and creating meaningful jewelry pieces into the form of a beautiful bag charm, meant to bring whimsy into one's life. This collaboration is a coming together of 2 stories— two Filipinas born across the Pacific from each other, yet rooted in a shared heritage and love for intentional design. The hand-dyed silk portion of the workshop is by France, a former early childhood educator of 14 years turned natural dye textile artist, born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Through her work with natural fibers, plants, and kitchen waste, she aims to turn her memories of the Philippines, her love for her San Diego home, and every journey in between into tangible pieces for others to enjoy.
