THE STORY OF HORSESHOE NAILS In 1485, King Richard III of England prepared for a decisive battle. While outfitting his favorite war horse, the blacksmith discovered they lacked one final nail to secure the fourth horseshoe. With no time to address this oversight before the fight, the king rushed onto the battlefield. During an intense clash, the loose horseshoe dislodged, the horse reared and threw the king to the ground. Without its rider, his panicking steed bolted, plunging his forces into chaos. Seizing the momentum, the opposing army captured Richard III upon achieving victory. The War of the Roses turned on something as small as a nail, costing Richard his very throne. To ensure sanitary conditions, we only use brand new horseshoes for production.
