The Eisele Vineyard can easily be considered Napa Valley Grand Cru with a history of vine plantings back to the 1880s. Beginning in 1971 with the inaugural release bearing the vineyard name, Phelps long carried the iconic and noble tradition making some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons from this historic site in the 1970s and 1980s. It later became the keystone of Araujo Estate's Cabernet program, and continues today to be isolated for its singular magnificence as Eisele Vineyard label.
