100% Chardonnay from the village of Puligny-Montrachet, directly below ‘Les Houlieres’, near the center of town. 50+ year old vines. Clay and limestone soils, with lots of rocks. Indigenous yeasts, aged in barrel (25% new). Juicy, tactile and concentrated. this Puligny Montrachet-based Bourgogne Blanc displays both lift and cut. Lovely aromas and flavors of pear, white flowers and powdered stone. An element of lemon zest keeps the palate fresh, leading to a long finish.
