2023 Emrich-Schönleber Riesling 'Monzinger Halenberg' Grosses Gewachs, Nahe

  The Emrich-Schönleber estate is over 250 years old, though it wasn't until the 1960's that wine became its primary focus. Today, Franck Schönleber runs the estate with the help of his father, Werner, who was instrumental in developing the estate's quality ethos from the 1970's on. Werner expanded their vineyard holdings around the town of Monzingen, particularly two Grand Cru  vineyards: Halenberg and Frühlingsplätzchen. The estate has 20 hectares of vineyards, dedicated primarily to Riesling, which totals 86% of their plantings. Emrich-Schönleber’s wines are among the best made not only in the Nahe, but all of Germany, showing incredible poise, precision and clarity.
