Joseph Colin joined his father Marc at their family's venerable estate in 1993 at the age of 19. When his older brother, Pierre-Yves, left in 2004 to start his domaine with wife Caroline Morey, Joseph became the lead decision maker in the vineyards and cellar. in 2017 Joseph took his 25 years of experience and about 6 hectares of prime parcels from the family domaine to create his own label and domaine. Though technically a brand new estate, the generational knowledge combined with old vines in top terroirs help to rocket Joseph Colin to the top tier of white wine producers in Burgundy.Le Trezin is a lieu-dit that happens to be the highest elevation vineyard in Puligny at 500 meters. Cool, wind-swept and rocky it's exposure to the elements and it's very thin top soil lead to racy, structured wines that offer loads of saline minerals.
