​The Taylor DPD Reagent #1 (R-0001-C) is a 2 oz dropper bottle of liquid reagent essential for accurate chlorine and bromine testing in pool and spa water. Specifically formulated for use with Taylor test kits, this reagent is used in conjunction with DPD Reagent #2 (R-0002) to measure free chlorine levels, and with DPD Reagent #3 (R-0003) to determine combined and total chlorine levels. For bromine testing, it is combined with R-0002. Proper storage is crucial for maintaining its effectiveness; it should be kept at consistent temperatures between 36°F and 85°F (2°C–29°C) and away from direct sunlight. Taylor formulates its reagents to remain effective for at least one year under appropriate storage conditions.
