Each 3oz candle has an approximate burn time of up to 20 hours. This size is perfect for filling a small room such as a bathroom, office or smaller bedroom. CANDLE CARE is listed at the bottom of every candle we sale but here is the breakdown:  always trim your wick 1/8" to 1/4" long prior to lighting ( you can use a wick trimmer, scissors, nail clippers or your fingertips to remove the excess wick.). Burn in 4 hour intervals only. Burning a candle for too little time will cause "tunneling
